Draft prep guide

How to mock draft for fantasy football

Mock drafts help you practice round-by-round decisions before your real league draft. DraftCamp runs solo snake mocks in your browser — CPUs pick on every clock, so you never wait on a lobby or lose a draft to ghost managers.

Four steps to useful practice

  1. Step 1

    Match your league settings

Set scoring (PPR, half, or standard), team count, and roster slots. Superflex and 2QB presets are available if your league uses them. ADP and bot behavior adjust to these settings.

  2. Step 2

    Pick a CPU room style

Start with by-the-board ADP practice, then try a mixed home-league room where bots run on RBs or reach for sleepers. Assign per-bot strategies like Hero RB or Zero RB to mimic specific managers.

  3. Step 3

    Draft with research open

Use the in-room player list, queue, and weekly game logs to research while you draft. Injury badges and bye weeks are visible without leaving the board.

  4. Step 4

    Review and repeat

Undo picks, restart the draft, or run again with a different draft slot. Signed-in users can save in-progress mocks and revisit finished boards.

Build a cheat sheet first
